Another in a series of photographs, taken during a week's walking in the Lake District. This walk features one of my favourite lakes, Derwentwater, set in the beautiful Borrowdale valley, near Keswick.

I have included the EXIF data for all the shots. Simply hover the mouse over the "EXIF data" links and a smaller window will pop up. To close the window, move the mouse away from the link.

Cropping, size reduction and/or very minor adjustments were done with Adobe Photoshop 6. Photos compressed generally at around 45% to optimise download time. All photos taken with Minolta Dimage 7.

Please send any comments to alan@arolfe.co.uk. Thanks!

The approach to Ashness Bridge. Exif data (82Kb) I've been to the Lake District about 10 times now and have always wanted to capture one of the classic "chocolate box" views of the Lake District - that of Ashness Bridge. Exif data (69Kb) The islands make help make Derwentwater so attractive. They are seen here from Walla Crag. In the distance is Keswick and, beyond, Bassenthwaite. Exif data (41Kb)

Another view across Derwentwater. Exif data (40Kb) Looking across Keswick towards Little Man and Skiddaw. Exif data (47Kb) Lots of sheep - not all killed, thankfully, in the Foot & Mouth outbreak. Exif data (41Kb)
