The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway is a 15in. gauge miniature railway that runs from Hythe (Kent) through New Romney where the railway has its main locomotive shed and engineering works to Dungeness. Each year in May, the railway holds a Gala and has every available locomotive in steam (or in diesel!). It also brings in visiting locomotives and this year, these included "Sian" from the Ravengalss & Eskdale, "Wroxham Broad" from the Bure Valley and "Sutton Flyer" from Sutton Park in the West Midlands.

Cropping, size reduction and/or very minor adjustments were done with Adobe Photoshop 6. Photos compressed generally at around 45% to optimise download time.

The "Sutton Flyer" from the Sutton Miniature Railway again on a double-ended shuttle between the loco engineering shed and the new building. The petrol railcar was reported to have been encaserated in a shed along with the lSMR loco and two coaches when the railway ceased operation about 1960. They remained there until quite recently when they were "discovered" by some enthusiasts and removed to a safe place (69Kb)/(80Kb) "Sian" from the Ravenglass & Eskdale. (72Kb)
